Why it works
Free-throw rebounding is pure positioning and timing under a defined scenario. The nugget: the immediate finish requirement trains the put-back instinct that turns rebounds into points. In a game, a missed free throw is a live ball — the kid who rebounds and scores it gets free points that no play is run for. This is how scrappy players score without being a featured option.
