Why it works
Pivoting is abstract for kids. The nugget: the pivot is how you protect the ball under pressure and create a passing lane — without it, a pressured player panics and travels or throws it away. The clock face gives concrete angles to aim for, and freezing at each position builds the control that prevents traveling. A kid who can pivot calmly under pressure rarely turns it over, because the pivot is the escape move that buys time and space.
