Why it works
Young kids chase the ball and forget the body. The nugget: rebounding is 80% positioning and 20% jumping — the player who boxes out gets the ball even if they can't jump high. This drill flips the order — body first, ball second — which is the entire secret to rebounding. A kid who learns to box out young will outrebound bigger, more athletic kids for the rest of their career.
